Cock & Bull FacilitiesThe Cock’n’Bull is a local family owned business much loved and well known in Cairns since 1988.

Enjoying a big hearty meal here is a Cairns tradition with the iconic Cairns pub offering visitors the charm and style of a traditional English tavern as well as the atmosphere of a vibrant country bar and a decor alone that is worth a visit!

Our meals are super value and tasty and served in generous portions by friendly staff. (See the menus!) These are all standard features of another great night out at the award winning Cock n Bull.

The Cock  ‘n’ Bull is a perfect night out for families wanting an affordable and fun, evening, budget conscious backpackers wanting a big meal at a great price and sporting groups, who can enjoy the action on the big screens while kicking back with a cold one.

While known for its traditional pub fare, served in generous quantities with a smile, the Cock & Bull has recently added a second kitchen to its repertoire, the Carnivore Grill. This is Cairns and North Queensland’s answer to the famous Brekky Creek Hotel and provides premium quality steaks, seven days a week.

The Cock & Bull features: two kitchens, two bars, a tropical beer garden, tables for 2-40 and catering for large groups up to 150, indoor and outdoor dining, pokies, pool tables, multiple big screen tvs, Keno, a piano, friendly staff, hearty meals and great value….and much more!

There is little wonder the Cock & Bull is a favourite Cairns pub with the locals and all visitors are very welcome.

The tavern gaming room has 45 pokies with the latest games jackpots and promotions.

The Cock & Bull is also home of the Cairns Game Fishing Club.

What they say about us:

Ask any local in Cairns for a great, value place to eat and most will say "Cock and Bull". The pub is clean and quite quirky sporting a Marlin fishing theme. Most popular beers are available on tap. The choices on the menus are many and varied. You can choose from the char grill for a really great steak or try some home style cooking. The portions are huge and delicious. Waiting times are surprisingly low considering how busy the place gets. I would recommend this place to groups and families. Contradictory to another reviewer, the toilets are to the left of the building past the pool table, nowhere near the pokies! Live bands most nights. A really great night out.

Quite a place! We had the Kangaroo Fillet and the Crocodile Schnitzel. Both were excellent. The big surprise for me was the crocodile. I've had alligator in Florida and crocodile in Zimbabwe and Kenya and quite truthfully none of it was very tasty. But this Crocodile Schnitzel was absolutely delicious. No kidding.
